Mainly because I was in a rush to get it running because I had to move. And I didn't have the money at the time to buy a good regulator. Also, I didn't know as much about it all as i do now!

I was running the original speedo cable since I still have the toyota trans. I say "was" because my cable broke and haven't gotten a new one yet.

You need the wire for the starter, a power wire for the coil, and you need to wire the alternator. It's pretty simple once you get the wires pulled out of the harness. The hardest part I think is the alternator

Sorry I havent responded in a while. I used the stock pump with a regulator mounted to the firewall on the left side, you might be able to see it in the pictures.

Yea man everything in Louisiana is swampy, just the way I like it. It's killing me cause my truck is down with a front ring and pinion shattered to pieces. I'm definitely switching to an SAS this summer!

Also the wiring wasn't hard. Dras 16 is correct in what he said. If you go with a carburetor then all you got to worry about is starter wire, coil, and alternator. I used the original starter wire, I found a strong power wire that turned on with the ignition, and the alternator I ended up bringing it to a guy I know which wired it up correctly.

Also I used original Speedo cable as well because I have stock tranny and transfer case. So far its holding up well, but I'm going to put it to the test in 2 weeks at Louisiana Mudfest in Colfax. If any of yall want to have a good time, look it up!

What happened to your rides racerflea?
well I should have everything done this weekend and running(if everything goes right). I have had to change the gears in the front and back, weld up the rear, and add traction bars in the rear to keep the axle from twisting.
