85 axle for my 88

so heres a pic of the 85 axle i have. id like to put it under my 88 truck. trying to decide my options on what company would be suitable for what i want. allpro, addicted, i know its gonna be atleast a grand for the kit but im sick of it being ifs. id like to go with 35inch tires. the engine has 5k on rebuild. is there a code on the axle for gear ratio? im assuming 4.10s

There is no code, pull the third and count the teeth, I would suggest rebuilding it anyway. You could use any company you prefer, most end up using Trail Gear due to the price.

Pretty intuitive to tear one apart. You have to pull the axle shafts out to get the differential out.

You are going to want to regear the diffs anyway for 35" tires so it really doesn't matter what gears you have but I'd bet on 4.10s unless it came out of an automatic then it would be 4.30s.
