Ever weigh your truck?

I had my T100 on a scale yesterday while buying gravel. With me and a 1/2 tank of gas, 2245 kilos (4950 lbs). Had no idea it weighs that much.

Find your local dump

Find the local dump. They would probably weigh your truck if you ask. I was buying gravel which they loaded into the back of my truck. They weigh before the load and again after. I paid for how much more the truck weighed, almost a ton of gravel.

Bone stock 95 4 cyl, with about 1/2 tank and my 165 lbs in it weighs about 3550.

EDIT to add that the truck is a 2WD regular cab model with manual trans, probably the lightest configuration.

2x4x4?

I assume it makes a big difference if you have the 2WD or 4WD. Also, for the T100 I believe the 2WD has a 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton model.

So for your GVW to mean anything by way of comparison we would need to know if your truck is:

2WD 1/2 ton
2WD 3/4 ton
4WD
Xtra cab
manual vs automatic

At any rate, mine is clearly very heavy. '97, 4x4, SR5, Xtra-cab, 5-speed manual, 3.4L, supercharged, w/AC, w/o ABS, tow package, rear locker, ARB front bumper.

My 89 V6 auto 4wd extended cab with a fiberglass cap on the back, me weighing 180 and a 1/2 tank of gas weighed 4100 roughly. People think that Toyota trucks are lightweight and they are not by any means.

^kinda like those commercials last year about Toyota's 'fuel efficiency'... 'everyone knows that Toyota has been the most fuel efficient vechicle out there....' hahahaha, not so much... maybe the prius.... not my veezy though.

not so lightweight when you add 1000lbs of armor, hahaha

I think my ARB front bumper weights at least 75lb or so...

if you look on the inside of your door, around the location of your vin number. it gives you a net weight of what your vehicle weighed from the factory
