New to the forum and have a lighting question. I have a black 02 T4R, other than a Hunter bull bar all stock. I want to add lights to the front end - probably PIAAs. The question is which ones? I was thinking the 520 ATP's just to blast a longer hole in the night but I am concerned about blasting a hole on oncoming drivers. So.... Which lights? I want versatility under all driving conditions, I want as much might as I can get w/out getting stopped by the law and I want them to look really sweet. I am now thinking about the PIAA 525's but....$$$ouch.

Suggestions?

I have the Hella 1000FF HID love them! The PIAA are nice too But Hella is cheaper in price

Also look into IPF's. A good and decent priced light. I run the IPF968 with 100W bulbs and they do an admirable job of lighting the road. Most jurisdictions will not allow you to run these types of lights legally when your low beams are on. They can however be used as auxillary driving lights that are illuminated only when your high beams are on.
Do you have the stock fog lights?

I replaced the OEM fogs with the micro-Hellas. They do a pretty good job of putting out light.

Well if you have the fogs then you should have ok light for rain/snow/fog conditions. You may even want to put in a dichroic-yellow bulb into the fogs.
Lightforce are fantastic lights as mentioned and you can get different light filters to help in different weather conditions. Get these if you have the $.
Once again, you are not running these in normal on-road conditions, with of course exception when running your highs.

Since 95% of my driving is on roads I want lights that I can use all of the time. I have been looking at the Hellas and also at the IPF's which are serious equipment and probably a little more technical than I really need.

Does the fact that I'll use the lighte primarily on the street make a difference in what you would recommend?

You should first check your local/state/provincial laws to know what lights and how many you can legally run. Generally at a given time you are allowed 2 driving lights and 2 fog lights. You can have auxillary driving lights, however as said they cannot be on unless your high beams are on, meaning no oncoming traffic.
If this is for city driving I cannot see a need for auxillary driving lights, especially if you already have fog lights. You will just become that douche who is blinding people, but you personally think they are not that bright.
