need solid axle length measurments

i have a solid axle out of an 85 tht i want to put in my 87 but it is bent. i plan on straightening it but i would like to have some measurments to relate to tht way i know it will work right.

maybe some measurments like this:

could always just use a long dowel to see how close you are to being straight.

is it bent from welding that top brace on all the way? Doesnt need to be welded like that at all

Why waste your time? Those housings are a dime a dozen and can be had for 50-100 bucks for another bare housing.

I concur. I got 3 or 4 housings at the shop. Only use I have for stock sfa is the other stuff than the housing and axle shafts such as the spindles, wheel hubs, knuckles and manual hubs etc. The rest of it is junk.

because im a broke, and i cant find any near me. if i could find one close by for 50-80 i would buy it

my family owns a repair shop. they have everything needed to straighten it.
the only thing i dont have is pucks for the alignment bar for a toyo axle

besides a tree and strap wont work the axle isnt in a vehicle
