transfer case identification.

i have an 1984 Toyota truck and im looking to put transfercase gears in it. im pretty sure i have an RF1A transfercase. when i was shopping for the gears they come in 21 spline or 23 spline. how do i know what spline count i need? any ideas? thanks

you need 21 spline unless you have an R151F Transmission out of a turbo truck or someone has converted it to a 23 spline output
