KC lights wiring question

ok, i got another question. is there any way i would be able to hook a set up so that they would come on when my headlights do? thinking about putting some driving lights on the bumper that i dont have to turn off every time a car comes lol

I've said it once, and i'll say it again.
I've run this set up for over two years now, and run the lights for upwards of 4 hours at a time with no excessive heat at all.
In fact, when i had the relay setup i noticed more heat on the (18 gauge wires?) tiny wires, than i did on the 8 gauge.
In fact, if this set up was UNSAFE, which it's not. then KC Lights would be selling harmful products to their consumers, and they've been selling harmful products to their consumers since the 80's.

And about the switch, the plastic switch they supply when you buy the lights is rated to 30 amps, or mine was, and wasnt very big at all, lol.
Anyways, hillbilly, there should be a way to setup the lights to pop on with your high beams, but my idea would involve tapping into the high beam wiring (and obviously re-wiring it for the higher load), and having the lights draw power through that.
I wouldnt, though. It's highly illegal to run these lights onroad.

yea, ive been looking at the wiring diagram and it looks pretty complicated. i hate wiring too might just wire up the 2 new lights i got to another switch. i got 6 now. i dont know if i want 3 switches to deal with. suggestions?

I still think your best bet is to keep wiring them seperately like you have them.
There might be a way to put a signal wire to a relay from your high beam lights to start drawing power from the main harness.
I didn't think of that last night. Not really 100% sure it can be done like that, but its worth a shot. And you can put a small toggle on it to turn the signal switch on and off.
