Aternator and voltage regulator replaced but battery STILL does not charge?
Well, the title says it all. I have replaced the voltage regulator which tested bad, and replaced the alternator which tested good, and the battery which tested good. The engine stays running with the battery disconnected, and the battery does not recieve a charge while the truck is running. When jumped, the truck stays running but will not restart under its own power when turned off and i attempt to restart it.
what should i do? Should i just push it down a mineshaft?
any suggestions are highly appreciated. im BAFFLED at this point.

Did you resolve this problem???? I just got an 83 toy that's having the same problem. New battery and alternator, but still won't charge. Sorry for bringing this thread back to life but I need help!!!!

Good call, I have an '84 PU pretty much the same thing. I changed the battery and alternator. The truck is old and the wiring on the plug portion and the ground were mashed and frayed(most of the copper was broken). I just shook the wires around until I got continuity. Just temporary, I'll re wire when I get home from deployment.
