86 22re brake wire
I have a 22re with the idle surge when brakes are pressed, I know my idle is high but i like it that way because its a crawler. I need to cut the wire running from my brakes to the ecu the kill the signal to stop the surge. does anyone have a picture of what wire i need to cut? I dont want to screw up and cut the wrong one. thanks

Simply put a toggle switch in line with the wire that goes to the brake light switch ON the pedal.
If you ever drive it on the street or need brakes lights turn it on.

I had the same problem, but it was the Auxiliary Air Valve or IACV as some people call it. I took it off and cleaned it, problem solved. If you search the forum you will find a bunch of write-ups on it. Then you could adjust your idle to keep it high, without having to cut any wires going to your brakes. Hope that helps!
