2010 Taco leafs on an 88?
My buddy works at a toyota dealership. He scored the suspension from a 2010 tacoma when the owner had a lift installed.
He was curious as to whether or not the taco leaf springs would give his 88 standard cab pickup any lift. Hes looking for 3-4".
I have not personally seen the leafs, so i have no clue as to how they measure up to the stock ones.
I would assume that it would be similar to a 63" chevy spring swap. So yes we are ready to do some fab work Im thinking we will make a temp hanger to see if they will work, and if the axle will be centered in the wheel well. If that works out. We can mess with the shackles and maybe pull or add leafs to get the desired height and flex.
I told him i would ask on here. But i dont think it has been done, because 2010 taco parts are not to common to use for a cheap mod

Other years of Taco's had inverted leafs. Meaning if you look at them, they almost look kind of worn out or sagging. I wouldn't think these leafs would add 3-4" of lift, but it's worth a shot. FWIW you will most likely have to move mounts around, but it might be worth a shot.

FWIW, I've had a couple of friends run the double shackles, and they all wen't back to one long shackle. Everything I've read says that the double shackles are unpredictable when sidehilling. I'VE never actually run them, so take it for what it's worth.
