Ok, thanks guys....ya'll did it.

I raised the front end by tightening the torsion rod bolt things. I might have raised them too far, but oh well.

On a level surface the front bumpstops only had about 1/2" at most, the rear ones were a little higher.

So, now there's about 1 1/2" of space or so on the front ones, a little more on the rears. There is a lot more space above the front wheels to the top of the fender wells than the rear ones now, I'm assuming this is supposed to be that way. The rear might be sagging a little, but no big deal.

I cranked the bolts about 15 or 20 turns total. The left and the right are pretty close to the same space.

I read in other places that you have to do the alignment after doing this? Is that right?

You'll want to get an alignment... but before you do that measure how much space there is between you rim and the fender, this is a good indicator of how "cranked" your t-bars are.

Did this fix your ride troubles?

Thanks Brian for the info. I'm making my shopping list as I post. Are the Downey mega travel BJ's have spacers incorporated in them or do those require spacers aswell?

Saint, do all your front end work now then take it to the dealer to get the steering arm recall done, and have the stealership do the aligment for you.

Cool, they'll do the alignment with the recall thing? the steering link or whatever? I guess they'd have to.

I don't think the BJ's from downey have any kind of spacer built into them... and IMO they are also unecessary.

this is the front bump stop. I'm not on a completely flat driveway, but as good as it gets.

Yeah looks like you were/are riding on your lower bump stops. Were those before pics or after pics?

Darn...sorry...didn't mention that.....these are the AFTER pics. You can see, the bumpstops have about 1 1/2" space now....before they were about 1/2".....so I RAISED the bumpstops.

Is there a stock height? Or does it matter?

The rear lift looks like about a 3" block, I'm not positive though...but it does sag a little bit, I think...I drove it around the block, and the ride seemed a lot let harsh.

I'll have to do some real bump tests though....

Ugh, yeah...my cv's are shot. I have some replacements....just haven't gotten around to putting them on yet. They're sitting in the garage. They were shot when I got the truck.
