86 22re A/C Low Pressure Switch?
My air conditioner blows cool but not cold and it has acted this way since I bought my 4runner last August. Today I had the r-12 level checked in my A/C system by a friend who works on A/C systems in vehicles. He hooked up the gauges to measure the amount of r-12 I had and then told me to start up the truck and turn on the A/C. I did that. He told me to turn on the A/C after I had already done that, and I told him, "I did." He said, "Well, your compressor is not turning on." He then unhooked a wire to test the compressor and found that it was fine (I don't know what he did to determine this). He said I needed a new low pressure switch.
So then I get on here and do a search where I find out the low pressure switch is behind the glove box door. I take off the glove box door, look at the wires on the compressor and follow the blue & black one into the glove box and find something? I don't know if it is a switch or not. I looked on Roger Brown's 4Crawler page and found a picture of the "A/C Low Pressure Switch",http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTri...ne_Pix/20.html. This is what I found too, but it doesn't look like a switch to me. My question is, can somebody confirm that this is the switch (Yes I know Roger Brown is a 1st Generation 4Runner authority but I want confirmation before I go messing with electrical stuff. Thank you.

Update
Two things:
1. I'm gonna email Roger Brown for an answer.
2. I think the actual switch is in the evaporator box after talking with a Parts Department guy at a Toyota Dealership.
