Shock Install

Shock Install
Hey everyone, long time lurker first time posting. 94 DLX Pickup 3.0 4x4. I purchased ProComp shocks to replace the factory ones. I was attempting to install the rear shocks tonight. My issue is that the rubber grommets/bushings on the shocks are so tight I can barely get them on without the shock. If I put the grommet/bushing on first, I cannot get the shock on. The factory bushings are too large and I'm unable to get the bolt started. Should the bushing be that tight? Any ideas on how to get these on? I got no help from ProComp when I called. ProComp 914515 fronts and 920500 for the rear.
Thanks for any help.

I have to do a comparison on the shocks tomorrow. The more I look at things the more I believe the shocks they sent me are for 2wd. The eyelets on the ends of the new shocks are smaller diameter than the originals.

I just spoke with ProComp. They said that the shocks I was sold are for 2wd and have smaller loops. I was given the proper part numbers for 4wd, 914014 Front and 921506 Rear. Thanks for your help, the knowledge by all on this site are invaluable!!
