Need Emergency Help! Where drain plug goes?

˟˟˟˟ ˟˟˟˟ ˟˟˟˟ . . . got the oil pump, rear seal and oil pan on.

Just realized I forgot to install three drain plugs my machinist gave me back with my block.

I think the two brass plugs go in the side of the block for the coolant.

But where does the 8mm hex head plug go??

Thx. Badbob

Oh right, dur!

The 8mm hex plug does fit in a port just below the oil pressure sender.

Is that it??

Thx

It's difficult to tell by that pic, but it looks like that hex head might go under a freeze plug or by oil cooler. Here's a pic hope this helps.
By the way, I just googled this

Nic pic, thx.

I think it is the bottom left. On my 3vze the port under the middle brass freeze plug is for the oil cooler bypass--the small U shaped hose.

I have no idea why on your motor you have a hex plug there.

Thx Badbob

1. That's not his motor. He just told you he googled it.

2. Not all 3VZ-Es have oil coolers. Those that don't, have a hex plug in the hole below the middle freeze plug.

Hole above freeze plug is for oil cooler fitting, the plug with the external hex head goes in the block just as in your picture, It's the block drain, the other one (8MM Hex) goes where it shows, near the oil filter adapter.
Might be a good idea to put some thread tape on them to prevent leaks.

The thing is...we aren't guessing. Where as...you are.

When in fact, the only thing left unsaid/unshown(that has any real need to be) in this thread so far is where the other brass engine block coolant drain plug goes. Until now that is...

That's just plain GOOFY.

Maybe I'm just a simpleton, or maybe it's the grammar.

Are you trying to say:

If you find a spot that is missing a plug on the outside of the block.
Then the plug might have been for inside the block, to block an oil passage.

^^^Even after I decoded it, still doesn't make any sense.
