Alright, I was doing some more searching and chatting to others about this issue. I have a few more tests to make sure it's the pump (battery to FP). Now, would it be easier to move the bed or drop the tank. I'm leaning towards sliding the bed back a bit. I know the wiring is going to have to be moved or disconnected as well.

What's your thoughts???
I hope to start on it by Thursday.

Question Help ME!!!!

Ok all you smart people give me a hand here...I bought a new fuel pump and I don't think that is my issue. I pulled the plug off the harness going to the tank and plugged in the new pump to the wires...turned on, cranked and nada. It never came on. Put pump on the battery and it went ZING!!!! So I know that works. Did the battery jump to the FP in the diag and still nada. I'm heading out to get a volt meter now so I can do some better testing. Any of you folks have an idea???

It still fires up when I dump some gas in the intake...So that would lead me to believe that the computer is working.

Updates

Got her running...It was a bad splice from the PO that caused the pump to quit. the wire broke. I have replaced the knock sensor again and it's still throwing codes. I have replaced the sensor twice now and I have 3 sensors. I can't imagine that all 3 are bad. 1 is original the other 2 are from ebay. Could there be another reason for the code???

You need a wiring diagram to start tracing it back, you sure all the fuses are good? There has to be a relay for that fuel pump, find it and check the voltage there with your new volt meter.

The only relay for the fuel pump is the Circuit Opening Relay.

The wiring to the sensor could be bad. IIRC, it's a coaxial type cable (like cable tv cable but a lot smaller), meaning there's a center conductor and an outer shield. If the two are shorting, it could cause problems as could no having the outer shield grounded near the ECU / firewall. So maybe unplug the ECU from the harness and then check for continuity between the terminal/connector at the knock sensor to ground.

Thanks Abe:
I have not found the coax cable, I'll look tomorrow ran out of light for tonight.

Ok this is where I am now...Found the bad wire...fixed fuel pump. As for the knock sensor. I Pulled and reran the wire to the coil and AFM because I did not have it coming through the intake like it was. After I unplugged them and plugged them in she has been fine. I'm wondering if I was getting a bad reading from the AFM and that was throwing the code for the knock sensor???

So for now all seems well. Thanks for all your help!!!
