Where is it.? Just because gas comes out means its good.but if it is the. COld start injector shouldn't. It only pump fuel when cold.like the name says cold start injecor!. And if it is pumping fuel after warmed up it would be getting to much fuel. So if it pumps after warmed up then is the part that sends the single to it bad

depending on 22re or 3.0, look for the cold start injector stuff, there looks like there is some stuff on the switch for it, and inspection and stuff...

Keep in mind it has a throttle body not multi port fuel injection.so i am not even sure it has a cold start injector..

It does, it is on the passenger side of the plenum, mid to mid rear on the upper side. There is a cable with wires in it running to a rectangular plug with a metal clip, 2 bolts hold it in place.
Click on the link, press ctrl+f and type 'cold' into the search bar, there should be 4 marks, open the two for the 3.0 and read what it says.

The CSI is only on when the engine is CRANKING, not just with the key turned. But as you noted, you're only worried about whether it is stuck on all the time. So pull the injector out with the fuel line attached. Jumper FP to B+ to run the fuel pump to pressurize the rail. If no gas comes out, the CSI is not your problem. (Remember that's gasoline we're talking about; be careful.)

I'm having issues with my cold start. I think.
No fuel sprays but also the line stays dry (no fuel in line to CSI)

the fuel should never cut to the csi. it is purely electrically atualted. you can unplug it and it should spray no fuel, but it should be spraying plugged in on a cold engine. the switch shuts it off in the coolant manifold once it gets warm.

But there is never a time that the injector is shut off "once it gets warm."
And yes, the "line" to the CSI is connected directly to the fuel rail, so it is pressurized as soon as you turn the key to start (and for vehicles working correctly, it will stay pressurized for quite some time after the truck is shut off.)

the csi timer is as simple as the fuel pump circuit poening relay. there is 0 logic circuits in either. they are simple relays. the csi timer operates solely on measured coolant temperature via thermister. the csi power comes from the efi ecm, which is informed when the csi timer De-energizes. to change the fuel map.
