i have a set of crower 264's in mine, with an overlap of 110 and no increase in lift. the power band picks up between 3500-4900 rpm. if you order cams get an overlap of 106 or 108, the longer your overlap and duration the more high-rpm performance you get and the more your low-end torque suffers. so 264's with overlap of 108 and slightly more lift is about as good as your going to get for a "performance cam" in a 3vze. but more lift in a 3vze means it is no longer non-interference, so beware. also if you buy from crower thay always cut base circles too small so be prepared for $100 in new shims from toyota. if you buy from crower you have to call and order custom regrinds, they do not manufacture an aftermarket 3vze cam, which means you have to send yours in to be re-ground for $200 + shipping to san diego and back.

i have the doug thorleys too. and yeah they are a performance upgrade but again headers open it up for high-rpm performance and not low end torque, and mak92 would probably agree with on that. i'm just saying from experience that your stock set up has more low end than a cam + header set up, but the cam + header set up really lets the 3vze take off like a bat out of hell in second gear at 3,000 rpm, compared to stock. depends on what you want but looking back i wish i would have spent my money on a SAS swap or trail armor stuff or a lift, i have found that dumping $$$ into a 3vze is disappointing, and everyone told me that before i started my top end rebuild, but i didn't listen and learned the hard way. but... the ONLY thing that was great about my setp up was it allowed me to run nitrous oxide and i am very happy when i take off from a light and lay waste to a 5vzfe. really the only performance up grade that is worth a damn on a 3vze is a "stock compatible" EFI Sniper Kit from N.O.S.

All that bling and it's still using mechanical fuel pump??. Lol nice Bowtie but I will stick to engine paint and not so much chrome.

propably doesn't need to flow from an electric pump; the engine's probably bone stock, just has some chrom plating and parts, and a serpintine belt drive kit

nah dude that chrome easily adds 25 HP.
