Flat Springs
So I looked and couldn't find a whole lot on this, and what I did find seemed to not really address the problem. I have a 7m in the bay and a SAS. I am using stock toyota RUF but that only caused my springs to be level. I then added another stock leaf into the pack to see if that would fix it, but it didn't seem to fix the problem. Is this going to be a problem? I have a set of lift springs i got from the scrap yard off of a larger chevy burban, I am just not sure if adding them would fix the problem or not. I think it should, because one leaf has about the same load as does the entire pack currently on there. ( I tested this crudely by flipping them upside down and standing on them and measuring how much they traveled down. I weigh in the 200lb ball park.) The pack moved about 3" but one leaf only moved 1.5" ish. Any help is appreciated.
here's a pic of the springs.

Sorry I tried again but it didn't work. So there are 3 plus overload. The three springs are flat against the overload. Shouldn't there be some kind of arch to them? For example if i put a jack under the axle and lift it up there is no up travel on the springs. It just lifts the truck right off the ground.

Go to http://imgur.com/ and upload your pictures there. Then you just cut an paste the link they give you into the box here. I don't think anyone is going to be able to help you without pictures.
try to get a shot of your shackles if you can as well.

Well i was just wondering if it was bad to have the springs flat. I ended up putting the 2 add-a-leafs from a chevy i found at the scrap yard in. They gave it more of an arch, and i bet when i get the shocks in place theyll be all good. So (ill include pics later) but with the slight arch v no arch what effect would that have on my crawling?
