Be sure to check the drivetrain fluids (trans, xfer, both diffs).

I ended up eating a transmission rebuild because I did not check that (the transmission gave out before I even got it home).

I'll be checking that all out after I get this stupid gas tank out, I'm really happy it has a drain plug because it was almost full, I got a little over 16 gallons of stinky gas out of it and now my garage reaks and it's coming into the house

Does anyone know how or where to dispose of old fuel?

Use it in your lawn mower or contact your local garbage company, they should be able to tell you where it needs to go.

Weak spark reminds of a bad ignitor(screwed into the top of the coil)

Really, I'll have to check into that a little more, maybe I'm too old american car but I thought that weak spark off of the coil wire meant a bad coil, all stuff to check into, I just can't wait to get my next payment for my old car so I can buy crap

These style coils usually don't go bad. The ignitor is a different story. The ignitor will send a signal to the ECM that will tell the injectors to fire. If you have weak spark from the ignitor, then you will have no fire to the injectors and it won't start.

FWIW, they are NOT cheap, so hit the pic and pulls and get the same one. Write down the part number and take it with you.

I just came out of a serious issue with my ignitor and it happened to be the wire running arcoss from the ignitor over the valve cover that had broke and was grounding out to the valve cover and the truck would not run...... it was very frustrating make sure that wire is not broke or nothin.... if its been sitting so long beat on the ignitor a bit with a screw driver or hammer... not too hard.... someimtes the little electrical parts in there freeze up and stick... coils usually last a long time but they go out every so often..... fuel filter i would change for sure since its been sitting so long.... check pump with a battery to see if it works or try and start the truck with the inspeaction cover for the pump off and see if you can here it running durning cranking time.... if not then its bad prolly....
