brake light problems
so i have done a lot of research and found out the reason my brake light could be on is:low brake fluid, brake cable loose, or brake lever not making contact with the switch. Well i have looked at all this problems and I have none of them. The problem I am facing is that my brake light stays on and is dimmed, but when i pull the e-brake it light up and when i let the lever go back the light then dims back. What could be the problem???????

maybe the one of the sensors isnt within specs and isnt closing the loop all the way so light is dimmed not fully off or on. Bust out the handy dandy DIMM and FSM and check the sensors.

ok so I jumped the terminals that went into the sensor and nothing happened at all. What else is there to check for that could be causing this? I also think i might have an electrical short somewhere that might have something to do with the brake light, because not ver often but sometimes when i put my blinker on my speedometer jumps to 0mph then back up to my speed.

yes, i had tested that ebrake sensor under my dash like you had said earlier and nothing happened, the light stayed on in a dim mood. The sensor in the brake reservoir does the same thing as the sensor under the dash. When you pull the sensor down the light brightens up and then when it's in up position it turns to a dim.

Have a look at this schematic and you'll notice the only physical connection between the turn signal, the tail light, and the brake light is the integration relay so my suggestion would be to check the integration relay, daytime running light relay, taillight control relay, and light control switch (if present) in that order and using the instructions in the PDF.
