air out of the gas tank ???
When I remove the gas cap I hear air release from there. I've never had that happen with any other car. Any idea why this is happening?
Thanks

pressure. happened in my 66 chevy, in my 1991 isuzu trooper, in my family's 2001 expedition, my moms new versa, my dads old ranger, and my 2001 F150. totally normal. dont worry!

It probably is a plugged charcoal canister. The tank has a fume vent run into the canister, which equalizes the tank. Having excess pressure in you gas tank can sometime mess with your fuel gauge and cause problems with the fuel pickup. Use a air compressor and back flow the canister, that might loosen it up.[/COLOR]
