Frame Issues
Today i was working on working on my flatbed/box for my truck and when i set it on my truck something just didnt look straight. so i did a little bit of measuring and it seems that at the rear of my frame, right by where the rear shakles bolt on, the passenger side is 5/8ths of an inch lower than the drivers side. however right by the cab its hardly lower at all. is this a big deal? and what can i do to get it fixed?
thanks

i measured to the floor but if you set the box im working on on you can tell its off. is there a better way that i should be measuring it?

no your measuring it pretty much the only way you can but make sure your not on a slanted driveway or anything like that. i used to think one of my springs sagged but it was the way my truck sat on my driveway. if its off then... idk man that sucks, either build your box to compensate or put new framerails on it. i cant think of an easy solution

I'd take it to a body shop and see if they can straighten it out and fish plate it for you. If that is the only problem on your frame I'd consider repairing it, particularly if it's just a trail rig.

i think thats why its off is because it had rusted there or i assume so since there are plates welded on to the frame in that location. Will having the frame bent like it is now be a huge deal? how important is it that have it straightened?
