EMERGENCY: does garmin venture cx have a key lock. mine wont power on!

Im away from home on a little adventure (iron man in louisville ky) and have very limited access to the internet.

I grabbed my Garmin etrex venture cx yeterday and (after using it hours before) It wouldnt turn on. I changed the batteries twice and left them out for 10hrs to try to reset it. Still nothing the unit is onle about 8 months old.

Is there a key lock function or something on these that I accidently enabled? Is there a sequence to disable it.....or is this thing garbage

Any QUICK help would be great, thanks guys.

well im back, Now I can do some research of my own. If you have any ideas post em or delete this thread.

If there is an odd ball power on disable feateru it probalby will ONLY be resettable if the power is supplied via the mini usb int he back...

Did ya use NEW "alkaline" batteries that actually have a charge?
