I'm thinking we might want to camp at the Lake Pleasant developed campground. They have several types to choose from: https://maricopa.gov/parks/lake_pleasant/Camping.aspx.
This way, those who want to shower and stuff in the morning can. It'll also be easier and more fun fishing for those who want to do that. The sites are first come first serve. I won't be able to leave here until 2:30ish and will probably be stopping at the grocery (Albertsons at I-17 and SR-74)for supplies. That puts me in at say 3:30-4:00. Let's start a roll call to see how many spots we need. Maybe the first people there can reserve a line of sites or something and let the others know either by phone or CB. If everybody would rather just rough, that's cool too. I'm flexible.

I might be in the minority, but I'd rather be off the beaten path so to speak. I'm not worried about a shower in the morning, you guys can all just keep your distance...heh.
And I'm cheap so I'm thinking more like primitive shoreline camping further up the road, not entering the "park" area. I believe if when you get to the end of the paved road and it turns left, you eventually cross a bridge... I remember some tents being set up there. Seemed like a nice area. Shoreline camping is pending water levels. Fee schedule:

I'll be up there Firday night and more than likely drive back again on Saturday after the run depending on when we complete the trail.
Friday doesn't matter to me where camping is, as long as I can camp I'm happy. ![]()

I'm all about primitive. I want to get "away"
I know of a couple paths that lead down to the waters edge that would be great to camp on. Free too! ![]() ![]()

Primitive it is!
So who thinks they will be the first up there? I say that person find us a spot if they know a good one kinda near the water (doesn't have to be right on it). The others can either call them to link up or those with CB can use Ch 4. ![]()

How about something in this area? It'll be easy to find one another, just drive around until you see another Toy.

I was thinking we could all camp in the same area. Each vehicle could supply a bag of firewood for the community fire. In the morning pack-up and meet the others at the old airstrip. The first person to arrive just needs to find a place big enough or with enough spots nearby.
If you prefer to be away from the group, that's perfectly acceptable as well.

My plan is to meet the group Saturday morning and run CK.
Not that I wouldn't like to go camping... just work in the way. ![]()
