Arrow Donahoe Coilover Lift the Best - 1999 4runner Ltd ---------------------------

I'm looking to lift my 1999 4runner Ltd. I have searched and searched the forum for information, and have learned a ton. But there is not much information about the Donahoe Coilover Suspension.

Plans:
2.5" Suspension Lift, ARB Bumper, Winch

From what I've read a heavier front spring is a good idea when adding extra weight. These Donahoe are rated at 650 lbs and adjustable, which is a neat feature. I'm also interested in the CAMBURG Upper Control Arm.

The goal is to have a truck that handles very well on road (stable, firm, yet not rough). And it will be used off road... rocks, mud, trails, we've got it all in the NW.

What I'd like to know:
- Is this a good setup? Any other recommendations? Who is using them?
- How does it ride on/off road?
- How much travel can I get (swaybar disconnected)?

If you are going to get the ARB and a winch, do not get the Revtek spacers. I am going through that right now with my Taco. I have 3" revtek spacers on and just got an ARB Bullbar for really cheap in Seattle. Well, the frontend is sagging pretty bad now. I too am saving up to get some Hoes.

depends on how you wanna wheel if it's a good setup. i've got it - the hoes and camburg arms, i like it. i like to wheel different types of terrain, from the high speed to the rock crawling. it rides great on road, i'd say much better than stock. it's nice offroad too. i particularly notice them shine on the woop-de-doos and such at places like pismo . i don't have any flex measurements, but it's decent flex. it is the best? maybe, maybe not. but after everything i've read and experienced, it's day it's darn near up there. everyone i've heard from (ranging from online testimonials to some pretty experiened shop owners/wheelers) pretty much agrees they're among the best in terms of quality build. flex? well it's better than stock, that's for sure.

Calrockx-

First off... Nice Runner!
How much lift are the Hoes set at? How much lift did the Downey Coils give you? Do you rub w/ the 1.5" body lift?

thanks man.
the downey coils gave me right around 2.5" lift, and i set the hoes to match the rear. no rubbing at all. it's close, but no contact. on the fender that is, slight rubbing on the frame at full turn.

I just had this setup installed last week on my Taco.

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/new-suspension-55247/

After I put my winch on my bumper my Downey coils started to slowly sag over the past month until I lost about .5".

I love it. It's a stiffer ride than the Downey's probably due to the coil rating and them being new. I do not mind this at all, I actually enjoy it.

Great setup and I think worth the money.

What rear springs work best with the hoes up front?? Downey? I'd like to get close to 3" of lift in the rear. Needs to be firm, yet not jarring.
