Overdue thanks to YotaTech

I wanted to thank you guys for this forum. My ’85 would have been cut up for a rescue training exercise. The owner (a fellow firefighter) was going to donate it for a tax write off. He sold it to me instead. I had no experience with Toyotas, but always admired his runner as a tougher than nails rig. It was a hero during a snow storm that shut down the city for a week and was transporting paramedics and patients. At the time we only had access to three 4wd vehicles. It seemed a shame to cut it up.

Reading the posts and links here has taught me how to keep it running. I now know that fuel injection is not a great mystery, brake repairs need not cost a boat load of money, and a million other things. I am working on the body and hope to paint it this spring. Thanks again.

Good to hear it. We might have to add first gen toyotas to the endangered species list.. A fiend of mine cut his up to build a rock crawler only to end up throwing it away.. What a shame.
