Thanks for the pics. Do you happen to have a high res image of the ARB bumper open on the back of the Jeep? I want to blow it up and get a good look at the gas spring.

Nice pics and writeup. As for the Bestop, as of now they have no intentions to make one for a Tacoma at this time. I contacted them a couple months ago when I first saw it in a magazine, and they're only availabe for full size trucks.

Have you seen this yet?

"Toyota joined with Off-Road Adventures magazine to build this jungle-ready 2005 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 V-6 pickup for Vanderbilt University archaeologists to allow them to travel into the jungles of Guatemala and explore Maya ruins. A Skyjacker suspension and SkyKing coil-over front shocks and coils raise it 3 inches to maximize ground clearance and make room for the special-purpose mud tires needed to navigate the treacherous and muddy Guatemalan jungle roads. Locking differentials front and rear greatly increase traction ability, lower axle ratios accentuate the V-6’s off-road power, special American racing Teflon-coated Victor wheels wear Interco Swamper Bogger tires to keep mud at bay, and tubular sidebars and light guards reduce the chances that encounters with limbs, logs, and trees will do major damage. Graphics are by Molly Designs and protected by 3M body film."

This Patrhfinder looks cool.

"This black beauty starts with a three-inch suspension lift by Bilstien and Trailmaster, with 16x9-inch Simulated Bead Lock Rims from Pro Competition Tire Company wearing 33-inch Xterrain Tires tucked into the wheelwells. From there, RCH added PIAA off-road lights and moved to the interior, which features custom Katzkin covered seats, a Garmin navigation system, and Rockford Fosgate audio/video. Under the hood are a variety of performance upgrades including a K&N performance filter and custom Gibson exhaust."

Ok everyone, here is DAY 2 of my trip to SEMA. The 05 Tacoma "Mayan Hunter" was showcased today, and is one of my favorite vehicles from the show. I have also included many more pictures of the Donahoe truck and some other great new products.

SEMA COVERAGE DAY TWO!

Biggest question for me is:

Will the ARB bumper for the 05 tacoma fit on my '03 4runner?
Will the coilovers Donahoe and Skyjacker fit on my '03 4runner?

Doesn't look too far off, but for some weird reasons, they just won't make them for 4runners.

I like the Demello sliders. I will definitely need to call him up for my 4runner (been too busy).

taco's suspension is identical to the 4runner timber

not sure if that arb bumper found on that taco is the production one as i haven't been able to confirm it. it also states the front locker too but last i was told it's not even ready for production so i dunno .

Is the ARB on the Tacoma painted with bedliner? It appears to be some "rough" material that would wear well.

It appeared to be coated with Rhino lining. Overall the truck was very nice. But the best part was the fact that someone is going to get to drive it through the jungles of Guatemala. Now THAT would be cool

Hopefully soon enough I will be doing the same...
