I finally have my SEMA galleries finished...

You will find a link to the Maya Hunter on the bottom of the Toyota gallery page. Looks like the RD90 will fit the front diff on the new Tacoma??!!

Many thanks to Scott for putting this trip together!

This thread and all the pics have me seriously considering dumping my 4Runner for a new Tacoma. That's what I need/want. And what can't be currently got for the 4th-gen 4Runner. Come on NE! Hurry up already! ARB, where are you???

The tires on the Maya Hunter were 33x10.5 Interco Bogger's.

Overall, it was interesting to see the changes at this years SEMA. There was a big shift from rockcrawling to desert racing and prerunning this year. There is also a rising interest in expedition travel and related accessories, which is a really cool thing IMO. But I am probably biased on that one...

Toyota and Nissan were the only OEM's that were present in the off-road section of the show, and they both did a great job. Toyota and Nissan have released some incredible products, and have retained lots of functionality and off-highway capability. The new Frontier is available with traction control, rear locker and 265/75's from the factory. They should be applauded! The 05' xterra is available with the same. Some of the Nismo guys were mentioning an even more inclusive package for the xterra with a front locker and rock sliders, etc. I guess the Jeep Rubicon proved that an OHV specific package can be very successful. The Rubicon sold 3x more than expected in the first year. Now it sells more than the Sahara package.

All of these things are very good for us!

Not an ARB SAHARA but an ARB DELUXE BAR. The sahara has the chrome hoop and the deluxe has the tubing like the bull bar. the bumper is the same for both - only difference is th grill/light protection.

Not the RD90, the new Taco uses an 8" front diff not a 7.5"...

Here are some gratuitous DR Taco pics I took

And a few "other" pics for good measure

Enjoy

I just spent some time putting together a 2005 Tacoma Page for everything I checked out at SEMA. I was also able to get the official Toyota press disc with tons of high quality pictures of the vehicles.

I have additional coverage on the following:

Stock Tacoma and Main Page

Donahoe Truck

Maya Hunter

Ultimate Tacoma
