Talking OME suspension is in on 2nd Gen! *pics*

So I got the shocks and rear coils in, and I have to say, it's awesome It looks about a million times better, and rides better. The 901 coils aren't too stiff at all, the ride is not harsh. Nice and firm. And, ya gotta love the bright yellow shocks...I think all the yellow even made the Runner faster Before OME coils, fender to hub measurement in rear was ~18.5 inches. After: ~22 inches. The back is about .5 inches taller than the front right now.

When we were putting the shocks in...we got done with the front, went to do the back, and realized that we put the rear shocks in the front. Oops...it was like 30 degrees outside, I think the cold affected our brains.

Misc. mods done this week: Painted mirrors and door handles black...and put red LED's in the interior lights. No chrome is awesome. The LED's suck. They aren't bright at all, and don't illuminate crap inside the car. Oh well.

PICS:

Oh, and check out this sweet keychain I picked up from a local guy, off Ebay!

Hope you enjoy, lemme know...

Nice! I love the red tail lights too. I might do that instead of clears this summer if I can find some of that paint.

Scofco- Thanks! I can't wait for 32's, but it might be a couple months. Shoot, it'll probably take me that long to decide between BFG AT's or MT's...

Thanks, Bike, I love the tails. Ya can't beat them for $4! I used Testor's Transparent Candy Apple Red. Worked perfectly.

MAN!!!! what a great improvement. I've always wanted to paint the door handles and mirrors. Also noticed that the trim around the front windshield is chrome (boo...) on mine and that HAS to go. You've definetly inspired me to get a job to go with school so I can pay for OME. Looks awesome

Looks good dude! What size tire are you gonna run? Those red tails definitely look sick. I love mine. Hey Miles, if you sell your clears, let me know.

Mike, I'll probably go with 32's. Big enough for now, until I feel like regearing. I'd rather spend the money on a locker in the rear, instead of gears, if I can. to the all-red tails crew .

uboat...I'll keep it on the DL...glad you like it!

I'm doing the exact same thing to mine this coming weekend. I'm also replacing the steering stabilizer with the OME one and Downey T-bars.

How long did it take you?

Sweet, dude, post pics when you get them in. The shocks took maybe 1.5-2 hrs., but a lot of that was because we messed up. The shocks are a piece of cake. Some of the bolts were a little rusty, but nothing a blowtorch couldn't take care of The coils I didn't do myself, cuz I don't have the tools or know-how, but it didn't seem to take long at all. Couple hours maybe. Let me know how you like that OME steering stabilizer, the SD33 is it?

Yeah, SD33.

I'm excited about doing everything--I just hope we get everything done over the weekend.
