new to the toy thing

just bought an 85 xtra cab toy with a 22re and an auto just one problem there is a hole in the block got plans to build it up for some fun trail ridin. can anyone give me a run down of these. everything running gear wise and frame wise seems good. drunk guy sold it to me for 100 bucks.

its kinda ovious i need a new engine would a 22r work and i can just bolt the efi up to it??? also does anyone know the bolt pattern i need 16'' rims for the mud tires im putting on it.

well thanks for the advice ahead of time.

if it is a 4x2 then it is 5 on 4.5 pattern, if its a 4x4, its 6 on 5.5

the block itself is the same, the intake, heads, will need to be swapped as they are differnt

a 22r will work ONLY if its a late '84 or newer, and has the "square" valve cover, the older blocks have a different deck height and will not work
