Trail Fix for ADD CV breakage
For those of you with ADD, what would you do if you broke a CV on the trail?
here's a great thread on TTORA with good information about what NOT to do.
http://forums.delphiforums.com/tacom.../?msg=119374.1 Basically, the ADD CV shaft holds the wheel bearing in place and the vehicle should not be driven without CV shafts, the wheel/hub/knuckle will eventually come off.

What was it?
For YEARS in Arizona we have had a set of sawed off axle hub ends. They have been loaned out to who ever needed to drive without a front diff and had ADD.
You CAN NOT drive ADD without the outboard joint installed. The inboard keeps the front diff from leaking.

Over here we all have known about not running without axles on 3rd gen ADD equipped rigs.

I have a 2 stub axles made when I converted my truck to 2wd. Before that I destroyed both bearings and brake rotors when the front came a little loose. :pat:
