he was gonna sell (save gas), but yt convinced him to go back to 'stock' and keep the 4runner.

Pics should work now.. and YES that is exactly right. That, and damn Kelley Blue Book dropping the value of it $2,000 in less than 1 month and 1000k miles later.

I'm glad you didn't sell. I really regret selling mine, and should have another 4Runner here within a few weeks (after I sell the POS Jetta)!

i doubt the running boards help save gas

No but every girl that has gotten into my 4runner ( and there are still plenty that " love my 4runner! " ) used them since I put them back on!

did it drink that much more gas (modified?)...I know mine drinks a tiny bit more with the mudders (but i thought its just the wheels?)

A stock 4runner sure beats no 4runner.

What was your mileage with the mods and what is it now? Just wondering, I'm trying to decide on what mods I should do...I'm thinking just a body lift and tires for now.

I am averaging about a full extra day of driving on 1 tank each week than when I was lifted/modded. I travel to Raleigh (my hometown) from school every few weeks and I noticed I am saving more than 1/8 tank (little more than 1/2 a tank to drive 3 hours compared to almost 3/4 tank when I was lifted.

There IS a difference. In my opinion, it IS helping me save money.. Also, I had to get away from modding/offroading for a while. It started to get out of hand. I have no other way to get around so I've gotta take care of this 4runner for a while.

Oh yeah, and notice I am missing the stock limited front bumper flare/end caps. Anyone have these in silver that they want to sell??
