I really like the slash cut tip that I have on mine. It exits right behind the rear mud flap, and just a few inches under the side of the bumper. Check out my pics on webshots to see.

Dang

I was looking everywhere to find a real coffee can to take a pic of. That would have been funny, but most coffee I drink comes in bags now.

My Borla has a slash tip that looks great!!

Here is the coffee can pic you were searching for. It came from Gadget's site.

VROOOM!!!

LOL

THat's what I was thinking of. You know, each coffee can is good for 5 RWHP. Double that if there are LED's on them...

3 1/2" Slash cut!

I think it can help with the overall sound of the exhaust. I was told that it kinda deepens the tone a little.

Cheers!

Has anyone tried a Magnaflow tip, I would love to get one and it be a rolled edgeti like the ones Jason has. I want a rolled chrome tip, that would be sweet. Just wondering if a rolled tip or any tip for that mattter would ruin a magnaflow muffler tone?

If you are looking to get rid of some of the resonance from your new muffler, try one of the Pacesetter Monza tips. Several people who have bought the slash cut tip have complained about a whooshing sound, but I have the rolled pencil tip with resonator and it made my exhaust sound perfect. I got the 95-9125 which is the 2 1/4" inlet/3" outlet with the resonator. Like I said, my exhaust sounds perfect!!! I definitely prefer the look of the rolled pencil tip over the slash cut. Hope this helps. Check them out at www.pacesetterexhaust.com Later.

Thanks Matt, that was another tip that I was looking at but I just don't want to ruin the resonating sound. I like that, that is more than fine, but I just want the nice rolled chorme tip w/o ruining my tone. I was wondering if that was even a possibilty at all when it comes to tips.

well... all it is is a couple of inches of open end pipe... it can't change the tone that much... (you probably won't notice a difference)

I'd go with the rolled edge tips.

You can change the tone if you have the exhaust tubing stop at the very beginning of the tip. This is how I got mine to sound so deep/good because the exhaust tubing stops about 2 inches into the 4" diameter 18" chrome tip. My tips are long, so this is why you can do this. I think this really helps give it that LOW RUMBLE and deepness.
