They are China made knock-offs.You'd be better off buying an older Japanese dual-sport bike. And if your into dirt biking, you otta change your signature.Bush for Off-Roaders !

Stick to name brands!
Its been my experiance that dirtbikes are a pay me now or pay me later kind of thing.Parts availabillity is probably next to immpossible with these no name piles of junk. While they may be cheap initially, the cost of repair/maintenance will get you in the end.
Dont be afraid to spend the $$$ up front so you can enjoy yourself for a while before you have to spend more.

Thumbs down Dont Buy Them!!

My neighbor bought one at Pep Boys for like $800, its JUNK. Very poorly built and has a Korean knock off of a Honda engine and they are NOT 50 state legal you have to do a dmv work around based on your state to get a DOT title, they do not come with a title! I bought my dual sport for $1300, its a 1990 Yamaha XT350 with 7,000 miles a Clark 5 gallon tank Answer bars, DID rims with new Dunlop tires and a fresh tune up! The XT is kind of the under dog of dual sports but they were built the same from 1986 to 2004 with no changes other than color! I used to ride a DR350 which cost more but had more of an aftermarket following but the pre 91 XT350 have 31HP with dual carb and dual exhaust on a 4 valve single, where the others use 1 cam, 2 valve setups.... anyway stay away from that crap, buy Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda or Kawasaki! Those bikes are like the early Hyundai’s or Daewoo’s, CRAP

Good luck getting parts for one of those $500 rides if it ever breaks down. Who ya going to call? No true dealer, no true brand name and so on......... You get what you pay for! They have a ton of those type bikes (dirt bikes, mini choppers, pocket bikes) in Pep boys and auto parts stores now.

My ride of choice is a KTM Lc4 640 - one huge street leagal dirt bike. It cost a bit of coin but it's wicked fast and truly off road worthya andgreat dealer support. If you want a less expensive bike check out your local cycle trader news paper.

Lightbulb buy an old bike!

Dude, buy an old beater here is a link to Ebay motors "parts bikes" section! I just bougt a 1 owner 1984 Yamaha FJ600 sport tourer with 4500 miles for $150! All it needed was the carbs cleaned and a fresh set of tires! My buddy bought a 1990 Kawasaki KLR600 out of this section for $300 that had sat in a barn for 11 years so they are out there, dont waste your $$ on one of the no name bikes you will regret it and they only go about 45mph! http://motors.listings.ebay.com/Asia...timeZ1QQsotrZ1

There's a sucker born every day!

Don't do it, man. You should be able to easily find a decent enduro bike for $500. Or a decent scooter. From Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki or Suzuki that will last for years and be trouble-free.

Those bikes are junk, they are welded poorly use NO name parts and the engines are Honda copies, they claim that all Honda parts will work in them but when you ask a Honda mechanic he laughs and says they resemble Honda but are far from! If you are looking for a cheap fixer upper check out that parts bike section and filter it by location I have had very good luck buying cheap project toys out of it. I actually bought my girlfriend her 1998 500 ninja out of the parts bike section, 1 owner he dropped it at 800 miles at 30mph and wanted rid of it, a few scrapes $700 good good good, now she crashed it at 50 and totaled it but it was a good deal :pat: if I could have found my Triumph on there I would be soo happy!
