Hey all, I was wondering if the Bud Built clocking adapter will work on my '98 4Runner V6 5-speed?

I assume it would because arent the tranny and T-cases the same between the 4Runners and Tacos?

For $170, you cant beat that extra ground clearence.

bruce, what all is involved in installing this? how will it work with your dual cases? or will it not even affect your tcases?

It looks like you would still need the adapter with that. But that will give you alot more clearence too since you wont have the stock bulky crossmember in there.

The last time I looked into those the shifter/linkage was still being worked out. Has that been solved? If so how?

There is some additional work required at install since the shifters will "clock" as well. Bud told me that this probably also requires at least a 1" BL.

I was under my friends Double Cab Taco yesterday, and atleast on his, the fuel filter would need relocated, and a 1" BL too most likely.

I had already thought about the shifters, but Marlin can make you a new shifter bent for however much you clocked your case.

yeah, i read somewhere on TTORA that you can send your shifters to budbuilt and he will modify them for you.

I wonder if you could get them legthened too between the body lift and the clocking you wouldn't be left with much length... I have a 2" BL now and wouldn't want it any shorter than it is.

4crawler sells adapters which screw onto the top of the sticks to lengthen the stick after body lifts. i would give you a link, but it seems that half of his body lift page is missing.
