3rd gen Downey/ Bilstein
I currently have Bilsteins all around my truck. But after ordering my new rear coils from Downey (rear 3.5 HD with limitng straps). I found that the current Bilsteins I have on there dont offer enought travel for the new springs (part number for the rear BE5-2451). In fact, some one sugested that it could break or snap during heavy articualtion due to the limited travel.
So I plead to all thoes guy who are running the downey coils in the rear with Bilsteins what part number is it?
Just to note that my current setup is '97 4runner 3.4L Sr5. and the rest is found in my sig. Thanks for the help guys.....

Is there a difference b/w 2wd vs 4wd rear Bilsteins? Maybe you need the ones for the 4wd, if they are in fact longer...If they are the same part, then it shouldn't be a problem as many people are running this set up. Install the limit straps that come with the kit and consider extending your rear bumpstops and you should be set.

I have the same Bilsteins on my Runner. 2450 in front and 2451 in the rear.
I have the PP coils in front and the 3.5" Downey in the rear.

I haven't had any problems. Just put the Limiting straps on that Downey provides with the coils.
