Engine Bay Setup?

I'm in the process of my 3.4 swap and I have removed the old engine and about to buy my engine. Was wanting to prep my engine bay. What is it I'm moving around in the engine bay? I know that the battery tray needs to be relocated. I heard something about a charcoal canister that needs to be moved. Anything else. If you have some photos of your engine bay that would also be helpful.

The battery and airbox will swap sides, and if you use the 3.4 evap box it will mount by the master cylinder like it does on the Tacomas & 4Runners. If you live in a state that isn't strict about emission devices you can use the 3.0 evap cannister. Those are really the only things in the engine bay that will need to be fabbed into a new location.

And I think the cruise control also since the new EVAP sits where the cruise control was.

I hope I can get one of those cool California ref stickers like the one on your firewall cadman!

Ok well thats very helpful, ORS link is still open, and they have some pics for a first generation engine bay. Then Evolta has one that is kinda helpful. Thanks Cadman that will come in handy. At the moment there isn't any emission regulations here in Colorado, but I would like to if at all possible get it to pass wherever in case they come back. Is it better to have the 3.0 charcoal canister or the Evap box from the 3.4.

2WD Tacomas used a 3.0 style evap cannister and ORS has a hose routing diagram for using the 3.0 cannister in the swap. Which is better? The box style was engineered for 4WD applications, so functionally that would be the better choice. Given the lack of emissions in Colorado, you could use either one.

Ok. Thats good to know. I just want to be sure to do it all right. So I will grab me one of those Evap boxes. What else gets removed/ not needed for the swap? I'm picking up the engine next week, so just want to be ready.
