3.4 maf conversion

i searched my arse off on this and couldnt find anything so if anyone finds it easy please forgive me. i just finished me 3.4 swap into a '91 sr5 and i'm using a motor out of a '96 4runner. the maf i bought used off ebay is dead(no resistance) and i wanna use a new style maf for better airflow. i know i need to repin the harness at the maf connector but is there any other mods that needs to be done to support this? anyone have a link to a write up? thanks in advance for any help.

search. There is a write up on here for the conversion. You will need either the matching airbox for that year style sensor as it holds the sensor. Or pick up a cheap aftermarket intake for the later year 3.4 with the drop in filter rather than the inline filter.

not trying to be an ass but if you read my post i tried searching. i've tried different combinations of words, google, this forum...i cant find ˟˟˟˟! trust me, i try to do a lot of legwork before i make a post.

is the maf bolted into the airbox or is it in a tube like the 96-2002 4runners? thanks for the info you gave me though.

i just looked through the appropriate forums and couldnt find any write-ups. no stickys....nothing. perhaps since it's so easy to find you could point me in the right direction. again not trying to be a dick but if you're so quick to say search it must be in an obvious spot that i'm missing.

I googled Maf swap and found this.
http://www.ultimateyota.com/index.ph...6&topic=3915.0
There is difference in the 98 or 99 and up as they are a drop in style that screws into the molded tube that sticks out from the air box.
The older style is massive and is bolted to the airbox and has the intake tube attached to it so its "inline" with the intake.
