Anti-seize is NOT the same as anit-squeak. They are two seperate lubes. Ones for prevention of say spark plugs that seize into the plug.
The other goes on the back of the shims so that when the shims move, the plate doesn't rub and cause friction agains the back of the pads and that annoying squeak you hear.

It's a copper based grease with very high 'slippy factor'. I believe thats the technical term for it! I got some recently but it was very hard to come by. The guy said no-one buys it anymore.

intresting stuff....
now, I did coat my shims and pad with the anti-seize quite well....but it wasn't anti-squeal.....and guess what I heard the other day.....a BIT of a squeak! -- now, this is the wierd part....it's only from the right front...and, it's only when I'm JUST BARELY touching the brakes, you know, just to start slowing down....then, it goes away....and if you let off, then touch them down light again...it's gone! strange. Still stops like a bada$$!

What's a good way to fix my brakes after the fact? I have never had any brake work done on my truck since I have owned it (July 14th, 2003), is there anyway to get the squeak to go away without any major disassembly?
Thanks.

you could try...
you could try to spray it with brake parts cleaner with the wheel off.....but if that doesn't work, you'll have to pull the pads and re-apply.
