Thinking of Selling 97 T100

Wow-this section gets smaller and smaller every day

So i am thinking about selling my 97...its great and i love it, but with me switching to a new job- i need more space- not to mention its too hard for my dog to make it inside unless she's sitting in the front.

I am not going to leave the toyota family--thinking about a 98-02 4runner, i used to have a 93 (gave it to my little sister) and my dad just bought a 04 tacoma-so theres a truck if i ever need one, and if i'm not mistaken-the 4runner will get a little better gas mileage (am i wrong?)

Tell me what you think...these are the specs on my truck

97 T100
SR5 V6
2wd
120k miles (mostly freeway)
no offroading-just mild camping
3" body lift
all original otherwise
295/75/16 Michelin LTX A/T's--very new (been rotated and balanced every chance i get)
16 inch tundra rims (5 spoke)
Its blue, maybe has one tiny dent, paints in good shape, interiors in good shape
Has a truck box that can be removed that i use to put my gear when i go camping (works great-dont have to worry about anything)
and factory bedliner

i think thats it

let me know what you guys think...how much i could get for it, or if i'm crazy for thinking about selling it

thanks

yeah, t-100...no so popular truck

hey, either you want to sell it or you don't. personally speaking, if you dont want to keep the truck, just sell it. im not sure why other people's opinions matter in this case. only you know the critical "sell or keep" factors such as financial, personal, etc

as far as buying a 98-02 4runner, good choice. the popular choice seems to be a 99-00 4runner w/ an e-locker. note that the only real major problem w/ either of these is TSB-El010. search and ye will find what this is.

Everybody likes the T100. Check kbb.com to determine the price. 4x4 in more demand then 2x4, but a good commuter truck.

I am looking for either a T100 or a new Tacoma, haven't decided yet. Can you post some pics of your truck? I'm too far away to come look at it

I'm wondering, if you (or anyone) can tell me honestly, what kind of calculated gas mileage you get (city and highway - more interested in city)

I have a 1995 T-100 SR5 4x4 3.4..I am getting about 18-20 mpg each tank with driving around town and on the Highway...Running the A/C has very little affect on gas mileage..Driving Speed does..I keep it around 60 and get about 20 mpg..On long trips driving all Interstae i will get about 21 driving 70-75...The worse gas mileage i have gotten was pulling a 5x10 U-Haul trailer LOADED and I got 17 mpg...Great Trucks there is a Demand for them..I have 186,000 on mine with lil to no trouble..Gonna drive it a few more years and get a Tundra..Always a Chevy fan but this has changed me to a Toyota fan..Very dependable and they hold their value...

Yeah, i get about 18, maybe 19 mpg. And i do mostly freeway driving. BUt i do have larger tires, and a body lift which i feel may have lowered my mpg by maybe one at best.

I'll try and post some pics ASAP, i have been real busy working-haven't even had time to look for a 4runner (im looking cause i need more space)
Give me a couple of days to get a pic or two.

I have one of each. Love the T but wish it did better than 18mpg, and love the 97 runner, it gets 21-25, but its almost too nice. I should not have held out for such a pristeen specimen, but saved 3k and bought one a little dirtier LOL. However, I doubt I'll ever get rid if either.
Its all about what you want to own and drive!! (and what you can afford)
