Cool Rear Anti-Lock & Break light on

hey guys!!
alright so when i bought my 92 p/u 4x4 with the 22re engine it had the rear anti-lock & the break light on, on the cluster! the rear anti-lock light was on in the 4runner i had as well but fixed that with a fuse!! does anybody have a fuse diagram for the inside?? my kick panel doesn't have one so i donno what fuse is for what! also my truck is raised 3 inches with a bodylift i donno if that has something to do with it or not?? the break light is also on and i do believe that the e-break is fully depressed and the light is still on!!! anybody have any idea's how to correct both of these light issues?? they are driving me nuts and i'd rather not removed the bulbs from the cluster and fix the problem!! thanx in advance and hope someone can enlighten me on how to fix these annoying lil issues!

There's a sensor on the top of your rear axle housing, for the rear anti-lock. Those go bad, and trigger the light.

First thing to check for the brake light is your brake fluid level.

Welcome to YT.

The sensors in the brake fluid reservoir sometimes fail. You can test that at the plug, and check to see if the parking brake switch is functioning properly. If you haven't done all this already. Good luck.

got the break light off by unplugging the sensor and plugging it back in! the rear-anti lock didn't go so well we snapped the bolt off in the process of unpluging that one! so what do u suggest i do next?

I had one that was rusted in like that. It's a magnet inside the diff, that will break apart fairly easily. Then you have to remove the plastic part that's stuck in there. This is all assuming you can't get the sensor out now. As for the bolt, you will need a bolt extractor and drill for that one.

If you want to go about it the easy way....I've seen some people just buy a new sensor, plug it in, and zip tie it up out of the way somewhere. The light will go off, but the sensor wont be doing it's job.

I would unplug the light bulb in the cluster insted of buying a sensor and zip tying it up and not installing it.
