that description is for a 1992+ Runner/Taco...the problem with the very first 2nd gens is that they where different in a few but major ways. like for example the wiring of the lights, and all that other kinda stuff. and the wiring digram from Toyota does not even show it unless you can really understand a diagram. thanks for the link though!

On the earlier model DRL systems (i.e early '90's Canadian vehices) there is a DRL relay box that controls the DRL functions. To disable the DRLs, you can cut the black w/ orange stripe wire in the DRL relay box, if desired. The headlights work in a switched power mode and will work with or without the DRL relay functioning.

i did after i posted it and duh, but i tried it and nothing...still did not work...so i called Toyota and talk to the head mechanic and he said to cut and ground the Green w/ Yellow stripe, there for fouling the system into thinking the praking brake is on. I think it is different depending on when the Runner was made..what time of the year. because i cant figure it out and im not going to cut every wire to find it out.
