Used 4runner, clifford alarm, no idea how to use it.

Used 4runner, clifford alarm, no idea how to use it.
Hi,
I bought this 97 4runner & I know it comes with a clifford alarm system. No idea what version or make.
Anyways After my catalytic converter got stolen, it's just a matter of time before the thieves come back for the rest of the truck....
Does anyone know how to use these things? The previous owner wasn't terribly helpfull "yeah its under the dashboard"...
