Brake and battery light on
My brake and battery light is on when I start the truck and it stays on as until I hit 2500rpm then turns off and when it drops below 2500 it comes back on again. any ideas?
brake fluid level is good pedal feels fine voltage meter reads normal at just over the half way mark.

I just delt with that same thing this week myself and changed my battery saturday and so far so good but I also bought a good alt as a back up in case its not the battery.
Had the alt checked and its charging fine so I may have a used alt for 60 bucks what I paid for it as a back up in case.

You need an alternator, if you got a volt meter try using it and see what the charging volts are while running. Less than 13.5 or so (14 is better) and its history.
Or start it and remove the cables, it should still run.

Yep (I wrote that article)
In my case, I was actually getting 14v at the battery, so I put it off, thinking it was an electrical gremlin as I was having other gremlins at the time. But a day later the truck died on me driving down the road.
Fix it now before it leaves you stranded.
