Truck shakes violently when going over bumps

So i recentily bought a toyota pickup 1994 v6 4x4. I like it except one problem. I think its shocks are to stiff, what i mean is when i go over a bump it feels like i just went over a mountain. It shakes the truck so bad that i have to slow down! I hate it, so if i buy some new like 400$ shocks would i ride smoother? And what shocks would fit on my truck, it has a 4 Inch body lift kit and 32 inch tires. So basically will new shocks make my truck drive smoother? and iff so what shocks should i buy? What shocks will fit my truck?

You'll get better response if your title is a little more clear. So I went ahead and fixed that. In the future when you start a thread, use a more descriptive title

Now are you sure it is the shocks? It sort of sounds like you have a steering component issue. Have you gone through your truck and tightened down all the bolts? That right there can cause the same kind of rattle too!

Does your steering wheel rattled like there's no tomorrow? Possibly could be all your bushings are shot?

Depending on how the lift was done there be extra strain on certain components causing them to wear out quicker.

Like Lysmachia said, tighten everything done and have a look at the bushings. Shocks don't generally cause "shaking".

These will fit with no modification and will fix ALL your problems

Come on man... There are 20 different brands of shocks at least out there and every one of them has drop down boxes to insert your truck info to get the right ones. This is like beating a dead horse but take 5 minutes and conduct a search. Things like shocks have been covered over and over. Please refer to rule Number 15.

15. Searching (or a blatant lack of)

While you will not find a nicer, more helpful bunch than the YotaTech membership, anyone can grow frustrated seeing new threads with the same questions over and over.
A few well spent minutes educating yourself so you ask INTELLIGENT and INFORMED questions will gather much more attention from the seasoned members in the know than a lazy attempt to have the members spoon feed you information.
It is ALWAYS better to add on to an existing thread (if the information is pertinent) than to start another with the same information.
This makes it easier for the next person with fewer threads to pour over to gather their information.

More info on how to search can be found in our newbie section.

A word of warning. If you are a chronic "non-searcher" or if you feel the need to mouth off to either the membership or staff for telling you to search, your stay here will be short-lived.

I know that here in VT its illegal to lift the body more than 3 inches. if you want a softer ride you could try relaxing your torsion bars a bit.
