off-road tips?

Hey I've been driving for about a year now and most of it is off-road. I have a bone stock 4x4 toyota pickup with a 22re. where I live is sandy rocky and tight. southern utah. Well it just snowed here so I was going to ask a few questions about off roading in the snow.

1. Is it okay in sandy or slick conditions where I need to keep the RPM up If I ride or it 4 thousand rpms or am I going to tear something up.

2. Does Airing down tires really help for tracktion.

Oh add any tips, I carry around a shovel and tell my parents where i am going and when they should here from me again.

Yes airing down helps.
Don't wheel alone.
Get some more recovery stuff..straps etc
But keep in mind a high lift jack does no good with out the attachement points/accessories to use it. Also if you get a high lift jack, practice with it...learning to use it for the 1st time when you are stuck is a recipe for disaster
