How do you remove side gear shaft from ifs diff?
I'm planning on replacing the studs on the gear shaft flanges to bolts like many of you have to simplify cv removals. I want to remove the side gear shafts from both the passenger and driver sides so that i can pound them out. But how do you remove them? How do you re-install them...just hammer them in? Thanks in advance...
oh and is removing the gear shafts necessary or can i just pound the studs out while still attached? Is there gonna be any damage if i just pound them out while attached?

but just out of curiousity and for future reference...how would you remove them?

i normally sell a kit yes, but i am out of stock at the moment..
you just have to tap them out with a hammer. soak it in PB blaster before if there is rust on it. i've always tapped mine when it out of the truck but i'm sure it can be done while still in the rig
