265/75/16's, how much lift looks good?
I have a new set of BFG A/T KO tires on the way for my 98 4Runner SR5 4X4. They are 265/75/16. I have searched quite a bit and found a little bit of info, and just needed opinions on the maximum lift recommended with this tire size as to not look STUPID? I imagine 1"to "2.5" would probably work, but I'm not sure which method is the best? Body Lifts seem to induce tons more body roll from what I've read, while spacers seem to jack the CV boots up, etc. Suspension, Shocks/Springs seem great, but cost way more as well. So what do you guys think? Will a 2" spacer setup jack things up or not? Are the polyurethane spacer kits found on EBAY junk? Thanks for your WISDOM on this stuff, and I'm sorry that I'm such an idiot with this stuff!! I'm a recent convert from cars!! Peace. Oh yah, the reason for the lift would be 75% looks, 25% better offroad.

I have a 2" lift with 265/75's, and it looks awsome. I dont know much about the spacers, I opted for the SS#7 lift. Lots of info on the forum about spacers though.

I went to the PP website and couldn't find a 1.75" lift? I am such a moron with this truck stuff, but I'm learning slowly and having fun!! So any more opinions would be great. I love the look of paddlenbikes truck, but still looking at the pros and cons of the lift kit spacers/body lift/suspension lift, and I'm wanting to do something to achieve this look, in a way that will preserve my truck ride/proper mechanical functioning, for the best price!! Help me figure this out my PROFESSIONAL truck veterans!! Thanks!

I think this is what he is talking about. PP states that they give 1" of lift but most people have been getting more. http://www.performanceproducts4truck...h+Lift+Springs

Here's 1.5" with 265/75/16 BFG TA KOs.
Side by side with Darren's 2002 on 2.5" with 285s
I had pictures of the lift and tires right after I installed them, but I can't find them right now.
Edit: When you look at my home page on my site, the "then" picture is immediately after I installed the lift and tires.

Something to consider is that since you're IFS, and I'll bet that you don't have any plans to do a SAS, then you may want to max out and put on all the lift that you can. That way, if you go 1.75", then decide that you want to head to the general max (without stressing the boots and CVs) of 2.5" you're not tossin' the parts that got you to 1.75.
Also, it would help if you told us what your rig was, but in general, this would be the way to go:

Actually, what's lame is trolling your own thread instead of waiting for people to get off of work, find it, and respond.
