1st Gen 4runner owners - Aftermarket tires/ wheels???

Hey guys,

I'm looking to drop the v card on my pavement princess, and am looking for some bad ass tires and wheels. Also wondering what size lift for the tires etc. I've looked around as far as I know on yotatech, and cant seem to find info with regards to what people have done on this.

So if you could, reply with what you have on your first gen, and send some pictures??

Thanks!

No one makes an aftermarket wheel/tire for the 1st gen Runners. You're stuck with stock, good luck!

lol!

o.p., the first gens, and most aftermarket for that matter, have lug-centric rims... if you don't already know that, it'll help to narrow the search down, because it can potentially eliminate later Toyota rims as a choice.

New rims works just fine on the old trucks.

I'm having a hard time determining if rokblok and Discombobulated are being sarcastic or not. If not, there must be something I'm missing.

new factory Toyota rims are not designed to work on the old trucks.

specifically, if you are mounting hub-centric(new trucks) rims on lug-centric vehicles(old trucks), you need to take steps to insure that the wheel is perfectly centered on the axle.

this subject has been covered ad nauseam.

I am being sarcastic. I'm sure Dis is too.

This topic requires just a wee bit of searching, which seems to me wasn't even attempted. There are countless options of wheels/tires available for every generation Runner or pickup. Drop by a tire store and ask them....

Ha! Usually I'm pretty good at sensing sarcasm. I read the OPs question and wondered why this is even asked. A 6 lug rim with the right lug spacing and backspacing would work. After reading what you two said, I just thought I was missing something. It seems that a lot of people here have aftermarket rims
