Any particular reason you want a Walbro rather than an OEM replacement?

I have a 255 Walbro pump.. I bought it as I was told that the stock fuel pump couldn't keep up with a turbo application. I haven't really pushed my motor, but to date it hasn't been necessary.

I bought it from:
http://www.autoperformanceengineerin...ml/fpapps.html

I'd buy their low end pump, it should flow more than enough volume, the & the price is right. Because this is an in-tank design with a "sock" for pickup, it's not rocket science to make it work. They do stock 4runner models.

The fuel pressure regulator should be able to bleed off any excess volume / pressure.

I've got the Walbro 190 (because of a supercharger) and it fit my in 93 ext-cab pretty good. I think I just bent the bracket a little bit to make it fit like the OEM did. I drove with it for a little while with my stock 3.0 and other than the noise I didn't notice a difference. The Walbros are a little noisey, they kind of sing to you, especially when the tank gets low. You might try URD for one: http://www.urdusa.com/

If you decide to go OEM, check the price here: https://www.1sttoyotaparts.com/tollfree.html

Or here:

Both have great service and prices.

What happen to your OEM pump? You don't hear about them going bad very often.

Yeah here's the one I put in:
http://www.urdusa.com/product_info.p...s_id=130000003

Oh I remember doing a little cutting on the steel tube now to make it fit in place. The instructions cover how to do it.

Bought this truck recently, I know that it had a new gas tank installed, maybe that had something to do with it. Yota mechanic found the intermittent starting to be due to occasional low pressure from pump, and a solid whack with a rubber mallet on the tank would result in starting. (94 reg cab, 4wd, 4cyl ) many thanks again everyone who responded, doing this myself is going to save a pretty penny.
